A nonprofit preserving and amplifying Black voices through storytelling, education, and literary access.
Voices in Ink is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to amplifying the narratives that have been silenced, ignored, or tucked away. Through our community workshops, school-based programs, and curated bookstore, we are reclaiming our stories and weaving a legacy that belongs to us all.
We are more than a literary space—we are a movement rooted in truth, expression, and cultural preservation. Through intentional programs and curated storytelling, we create platforms where voices are not only heard, but remembered.

A 10-week creative writing journey for students designed to ignite the next generation of narrative strategists. We teach them that their voice isn’t just a sound—it’s a legacy.

A 6-week adult program centered on memoir, legacy writing, and the “Unburied” philosophy—creating a safe space for reflection, healing, and collaboration.
Every book in our collection is intentionally curated to challenge, inspire, and archive the Black experience. Each purchase directly supports our mission and independent bookstores.
Stories shape identity. They preserve culture, challenge systems, and create pathways to freedom. Yet, too many voices remain unheard, undocumented, or erased.
For generations, entire narratives have been overlooked—stories rich with truth, resilience, and lived experience. When these voices are lost, so is a part of our collective history.
Voices in Ink exists to change that.
We create spaces where stories are not only written, but honored. Where young writers discover the power of their voice, and where adults reclaim narratives that were once silenced or set aside.
Your support does more than sustain this work—it expands it. Every donation helps provide resources, education, and safe spaces for storytellers to rise and be remembered.
